Process:

When making an appointment by phone:
1-877-537-9389

Relevant details about the procedure are provided.

2.

Relevant health information is requested.

3.

An appointment at the nearest imaging site is arranged.

At the imaging center:

1.

A consent form explains the nature of the procedure

2.

Vision is measured.

3.

The eyes are imaged following a precise protocol.

You can then leave!

The normal duration of the entire procedure is appx. 15 minutes. *

After your departure:

1.    

The interpretation of the data and images are made by medical specialists (ophthalmologists), normally within days of the appointment.

2.

You are contacted to inform you about your screening results.

3.    

All doctors involved in your health care will receive a detailed report.

* Some people with smaller pupils may require dilation of pupils to get clearer pictures of your eyes. They should then wait 20 minutes. Your vision may be confusing for the drops to be effective. Vision can then be blurred for a few hours. IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO DRIVE A VEHICLE WHEN PUPILS ARE DILATED BY DROPS.
